On September 16, 2023, at about 3:05 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 2600 block of Kenesaw Drive. The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived, they found 53-year-old Santos Chavez  shot. DFR responded and the victim died. The investigation is ongoing, and the case will be referred to a Grand Jury. The incident will be documented under case number 167134-2023.
