Update:
On September 28, 2023, The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives announced a reward of up to $15,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) responsible for the death of two-year-old Zyah Lacy.
In addition, Zyah’s family has provided her photo to the Dallas Police Department and given permission for the use of her name in the hope that anyone with information on this case will contact law enforcement.

Update: With updated information provided to detectives – we can confirm the victim in this case is a two-year-old female.
Original Posting: On September 24, 2023, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 4700 block of Hay Street.
The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived they found a woman and a one-year-old child had been shot during a drive-by shooting.
They were taken to a local hospital where the child died. The woman was last listed in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing and documented under case number 172158-2023.
