Crash at 7600 LBJ Service Road

Dallas Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the vehicle and suspect driver who hit a seven-year-old girl in the 7600 block of LBJ Freeway Service Road.

On October 16, 2023, at approximately 12:10 a.m., the victim was walking in the roadway and was hit by an unknown suspect vehicle. The driver left the scene without stopping to help the victim. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a 2007-2014 Cadillac Escalade or similar vehicle, color unknown, a stock photo is provided. The vehicle should have damage to the front right with a missing right headlight.

On October 16, 2023, at about 12:15 a.m., Dallas Police responded to an accident call in the 7600 block of Lyndon B Johnson Service Road.  The preliminary investigation determined a driver of a white vehicle was traveling eastbound in the 7600 block of Lyndon B Johnson Service Road and hit a 7-year-old girl laying in the roadway.  The child died at the scene.

Further investigation determined the child was hit by another unknown vehicle prior to the white vehicle.  The driver of the white vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with police. 

Detectives are working to identify the driver and vehicle that initially hit the child and left the scene.

Due to the age of the girl, a name will not be released.  This investigation is ongoing and is documented on case numbers 185220-2023 and 185221-2023.
