The victim has been identified as 72-year-old Paola Rivera.

On October 15, 2023, at around 8:30 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 3700 block of Marfa Avenue. The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived, they found a woman shot inside the residence. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and took the woman to a local hospital, where she died from her injury. 

This is an ongoing investigation that will be documented under case numbers 185139-2023.
