On October 20, 2023, at about 9:30 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 13000 block of Esperanza Road.

The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived, they found 27-year-old Thomas Tycion Burns, shot, laying in the street.  Burns died at the scene.

Another adult male victim was also shot and taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

This investigation is ongoing and documented on case number 188067-2023.
