Dallas Police Citizen’s Academy Graduates Class #39

On Saturday, December 12, 2015, the Dallas Police Citizens Police Academy (CPA) graduated 53 students the 39th class since the program’s inception.   The graduates completed a 10-week academy program at the Dallas Police Basic Academy.   During the academy, the class members were educated about various units within the police department, such as the Communication Division, Gang Unit, Homicide Investigations, Financial Crimes, Human Trafficking, Family Violence, Canine, Neighborhood Police Officers, and volunteer and youth outreach programs.  The CPA is offered twice a year, in both English and Spanish.

Citizens Police Academy

 

It’s that time again, time for you, the citizens of Dallas to engage with your Dallas Police Department, by being a part of the Citizens Police Academy. The next class starts Tuesday, February 17, 2015, with a Saturday, May 25, 2015 graduation date. The academy class will meet at the Dallas Police Academy once a week for a total of 10 weeks. The class affords the citizens to learn the functions of patrol, along with other aspects of police operations.  Please see the below posted brochure and application for additional details.
