Arrest Made in the Homicide Investigation of Joe Dominguez

On August 13, 2020, Vincent Harris, a 19-year-old black male, was arrested for the murder of Joe Dominguez that occurred on July 26, 2020, at the 700 block of Sabine Street. Harris was transported to Lew Sterrett Jail and has been charged with murder, a felony of the first degree. His bond will be set by a Dallas County Magistrate.

On July 26, 2020, at approximately 1:15 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 700 block of Sabine Street. Upon arrival, they made contact with the victim, Joe Dominguez, a 28-year-old Latin male, who had suffered from a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire and Rescue transported him to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. A witness stated that the victim and the driver of a white late-model Dodge Avenger became involved in a road rage incident and the driver of the white Dodge Avenger shot at the victim’s vehicle, striking him. The suspect then fled the scene.

Homicide on Terry Street

On July 25, 2020, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a health and welfare check in the 4900 block of Terry Street. Upon arrival, the victim, Irish Harrison, a 71-year-old Black female, was found inside the residence unresponsive. Dallas Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. The victim’s grandson, Michael Robinson, a 32-year-old Black male, was at the location when police arrived. He was transported to Dallas Police Headquarters, where he was interviewed by a detective with the Homicide Unit. Robinson admitted to killing the victim and was transported to Lew Sterrett Jail and charged with Capital Murder, a capital felony. His bond will be determined by a Dallas County Magistrate.

 

Homicide on Prosper Street

On July 21, 2020, at approximately 12:45 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a call in the 6700 block of Prosper Street regarding an unresponsive male found at the location. Officers arrived and located the victim, Reginald Lefall, a 52-year-old Black male, who appeared to have suffered from homicidal violence. Dallas Fire and Rescue responded and pronounced the victim deceased.

Homicide on Red Bud Drive

On Friday, March 27, 2020, at 9:05 a.m., Dallas officers responded to a disturbance call in the 7000 block of Red Bud Drive.  Upon arrival, officers observed the victim, Clarence Ross, a 51-year-old Black male, on a stretcher and being treated by Dallas Fire-Rescue.  The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased from his injuries.  The facts of the preliminary investigation indicate that the victim and suspect, Christopher L. Davis, a 44-year-old Black male, were on a job site collecting brush and bulk garbage.  While at the job site, the suspect and the victim became involved in a verbal argument, and it escalated into a physical confrontation.  Suspect Davis assaulted the victim with his closed fists, causing his death.

The suspect fled the scene and subsequently drove to his residence where he surrendered to police.

The suspect was transported to the Homicide Unit, where he voluntarily waived his rights and admitted to the offense.  After the interview, he was transported to the Dallas County Jail and charged with murder. The next of kin notification has been made.

Homicide on Toronto Street

On March 15, 2020, at approximately 1:48 p.m., Dallas police officers responded to a shooting call at 3703 Toronto Street.  During the investigation of the call, they discovered the victim, Michael Tilley, a 35-year-old Black male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on the sidewalk.  He was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The suspect, Keith Waters, a 58-year-old Black male, was arrested several blocks away.  Waters was transported to Dallas Police Headquarters and read his Miranda rights.  He waived his rights and confessed to his involvement in the murder.  He was transported to the Dallas County Jail.  His bond will be set by a magistrate.

Homicide on Village Fair Drive

On December 22, 2019, at approximately 2:50 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at 4800 Village Fair Drive. Witnesses reported that a large crowd of people had just left a holiday party at the location when multiple suspects began shooting at each other in the parking lot. The victim, Nikel Perkins, a 25-year-old black female, was struck by stray gunfire and killed.

Homicide on Simpson Stuart Road

On December 18, 2019, at approximately 7:40 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at Simpson Stuart Rd and Bonnie View Rd. Witnesses reported that two vehicles, a light-colored sedan and a dark-colored sedan, were driving southbound on Bonnie View Rd exchanging gunfire when the victim, an unidentified black male, was struck in the chest and another individual was shot in the hand. Both were in the parking lot of the convenience store at 3500 Simpson Stuart Rd when they were shot and were transported to an area hospital, where the unidentified male was pronounced deceased.

Homicide on Masters Drive

On Monday, November 25, 2019, at approximately 6:11 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call regarding a group of teens who were involved in an altercation at 1244 N. Masters Drive where handguns were drawn.  Upon arrival, officers found the victim, Lisa Henry, a 47-year old Black female, lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds in front of the apartment complex playground.  Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and transported the victim to an area hospital, where she died from her injuries.

On Wednesday, January 9, 2019, the victim, Donald Anton Jelinek,was found murdered in his residence in the 6200 block of Melody Lane, documented on case number 005656-2019.  The Dallas Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying these two persons of interest.

On Wednesday, January 09, 2019, at approximately 10:03 a.m., Dallas police and Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a welfare check call at the Tribeca on the Creek Apartments located at 6260 Melody Lane. Officers and paramedic personnel entered the apartment and found the victim, Donald Anton Jelinek, a 57-year old White male, deceased in his apartment with multiple gunshot wounds.
