Homicide on Country Creek Drive

On February 20, 2021, at 2:00 a.m., Dallas officers responded to a shooting call in the 4700 block of Country Creek Drive. Upon arrival, they found the victim, Edward Cade, a 18-year-old Black male, unresponsive in a vehicle with a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire and Rescue responded and pronounced the victim deceased.

Homicide on Old Hickory Trail

Updated Post: February 23, 2021 

On February 22, 2021, a 16-year-old juvenile male was arrested by the Dallas Police for the murder of Kenneth Henderson that occurred on January 27, 2021, at 8600 Old Hickory Trail. He was transported to the Henry Wade Juvenile Justice Center and charged with murder, a felony of the first degree.

On January 27, 2021, at approximately 3:20 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 8600 block of Old Hickory Trail. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, Kenneth Henderson, a 62-year-old Black male, who had suffered a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased on February 18, 2021.

Homicide on W. Elmore Avenue

On Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 12:09 a.m., Dallas police responded to 131 W. Elmore Avenue regarding a shooting call.  The victim, Fredy Bonilla, a 26-year old Latin male, was found lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the groin area. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.  Through the course of the investigation, Homicide detectives determined that suspect Angel Aristeo Badillo, a 29-year old Latin male, was responsible for the murder of the victim.  Suspect Badillo was transported to the Dallas County Jail and charged with murder.  A magistrate will set his bond. 

Homicide Investigation on Municipal Street

Updated Blog Post: January 17, 2021:

Through the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified as Isaac Trevino, a 24-year-old Latin male. Trevino was already in the custody of the Dallas County Sheriff for charges unrelated to this murder. He was interviewed by a detective with the Homicide Unit and confessed to shooting and killing the victim. He has been charged with murder, a felony of the first degree. His bond will be set by a Dallas County Magistrate.

On January 9, 2021, at approximately 9:00 a.m., Dallas officers responded to a call regarding a dead body near a road in the 2900 block of Municipal Street. Dallas Fire and Rescue responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene from homicidal violence. On January 10, 2021, the Dallas County Medical Examiner positively identified the victim as Ricardo Xavier Rangel, a 22-year-old Latin male.

Suspect Sought in Homicide on CF Hawn Freeway

On November 8, 2020, at approximately 1:08 p.m., the suspect pictured above shot and killed an unidentified victim at 9625 CF Hawn Freeway. The suspect appears to be a Latin male driving a blue Chevy Impala (possibly 2007).

Arrest Made in the Homicide Investigation of Joe Dominguez

On August 13, 2020, Vincent Harris, a 19-year-old black male, was arrested for the murder of Joe Dominguez that occurred on July 26, 2020, at the 700 block of Sabine Street. Harris was transported to Lew Sterrett Jail and has been charged with murder, a felony of the first degree. His bond will be set by a Dallas County Magistrate.

On July 26, 2020, at approximately 1:15 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 700 block of Sabine Street. Upon arrival, they made contact with the victim, Joe Dominguez, a 28-year-old Latin male, who had suffered from a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire and Rescue transported him to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. A witness stated that the victim and the driver of a white late-model Dodge Avenger became involved in a road rage incident and the driver of the white Dodge Avenger shot at the victim’s vehicle, striking him. The suspect then fled the scene.

Homicide on Terry Street

On July 25, 2020, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a health and welfare check in the 4900 block of Terry Street. Upon arrival, the victim, Irish Harrison, a 71-year-old Black female, was found inside the residence unresponsive. Dallas Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. The victim’s grandson, Michael Robinson, a 32-year-old Black male, was at the location when police arrived. He was transported to Dallas Police Headquarters, where he was interviewed by a detective with the Homicide Unit. Robinson admitted to killing the victim and was transported to Lew Sterrett Jail and charged with Capital Murder, a capital felony. His bond will be determined by a Dallas County Magistrate.

 

Homicide on Prosper Street

On July 21, 2020, at approximately 12:45 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a call in the 6700 block of Prosper Street regarding an unresponsive male found at the location. Officers arrived and located the victim, Reginald Lefall, a 52-year-old Black male, who appeared to have suffered from homicidal violence. Dallas Fire and Rescue responded and pronounced the victim deceased.

Homicide on Red Bud Drive

On Friday, March 27, 2020, at 9:05 a.m., Dallas officers responded to a disturbance call in the 7000 block of Red Bud Drive.  Upon arrival, officers observed the victim, Clarence Ross, a 51-year-old Black male, on a stretcher and being treated by Dallas Fire-Rescue.  The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased from his injuries.  The facts of the preliminary investigation indicate that the victim and suspect, Christopher L. Davis, a 44-year-old Black male, were on a job site collecting brush and bulk garbage.  While at the job site, the suspect and the victim became involved in a verbal argument, and it escalated into a physical confrontation.  Suspect Davis assaulted the victim with his closed fists, causing his death.

The suspect fled the scene and subsequently drove to his residence where he surrendered to police.

The suspect was transported to the Homicide Unit, where he voluntarily waived his rights and admitted to the offense.  After the interview, he was transported to the Dallas County Jail and charged with murder. The next of kin notification has been made.
