Homicide on Yorktown Street

On Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at approximately 12:36 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a call at an apartment residence located at 660 Yorktown Street.  The Homicide Unit responded to the scene and determined that the victim was found inside his apartment and had succumbed to a single gun shot wound.  The Dallas Police Department Homicide Unit asks for the public’s assistance regarding this murder and is encouraging anyone with information to contact Detective Josue  Rodriguez at 214-671-3994 or via email: josue.rodriguez@dallascityhall.com. Homicide on Griffith Avenue

Update 6/19/2021 at 6:50 PM:

Through their investigation, Homicide Detectives determined that suspect William Adolph Sandoval, a 22-year-old Latin male, was responsible for killing the victim. On Tuesday, June 18, 2021, Suspect Sandoval was arrested and transported to the Homicide Unit where detectives interviewed him. The suspect was then transported to the Dallas County Jail where he was charged with murder. A Dallas County magistrate will set his bond amount.

On Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Dallas police responded to a call at 522 Griffith Avenue.  Upon arrival, the officers found the victim, Ashley Leann Uresti, age 32, unresponsive at the location with blunt force trauma. The victim was transported to an area hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue.

On Tuesday, June 15, 2021, the victim died from the injuries, and the case was reassigned to the Homicide Unit. The investigation is ongoing, and the motive is unknown at this time.

Homicide on Forest Lane

On May 9, 2021, at approximately 7:20 a.m., Dallas officers responded to 9669 Forest Lane at the request of Dallas Fire and Rescue. Upon arrival, officers were informed that the victim, Dyrelle Neakole Smith, a 28-year-old Black female, had been shot at the location. Dallas Fire-Rescue pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. During the course of the investigation, detectives identified her ex-boyfriend, Jeremiah Larique Henderson, a 25 year-old Black male, as a suspect. At approximately 12:15 p.m., the suspect was located at 3000 Rochester Street with a self inflicted gunshot wound. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and pronounced the suspect deceased at the scene.

Homicide on Lyons Street

On Saturday, April 17, 2021, at approximately 7:29 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at the Juanita Craft Recreation Center Park, located at 3000 Lyons Street. Upon arrival, officers were informed that the victim, Cerriante Dimoren Green, an 18-year old Black male, had been shot at the location. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. Two other individuals were shot at the location and transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. There are currently no suspects identified or apprehended.  The motive and circumstances surrounding the murder are under investigation.

Homicide on C F Hawn Freeway with an Arrest

On Saturday, April 17, 2021, at approximately 12:13 a.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at the Super Seven Inn, located at 9626 C F Hawn Freeway.  Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim, Lexia Lafon Kimberling, a 30-year-old white female, had been shot at the location by the suspect Santiago V. Dominguez, a 24-year-old Latin male, the victim’s live-in boyfriend. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

 

Suspect Dominguez was transported to the Homicide Unit, where detectives interviewed him. After the interview, the suspect was transported to the Dallas County Jail and charged with murder.  A magistrate will set his bond.  Please refer to case #065986-2021.

Jonathanlacory Rogers

Update March 29, 2021:

Club Pryme homicide suspect, Jonathanlacory Rogers, was captured today in the city of Terrell, Texas. This morning, the U.S. Marshals North Texas Violent Fugitive Task Force, in partnership with the Dallas Police Department, arrested Rogers after receiving intelligence that he would be travelling from Shreveport, Louisiana to Texas. He was arrested while sitting in a parked vehicle at a Shell Gas Station.

Update March 23, 2021 at 7:40 p.m.

Jonathanlacory Terrell Rogers has been identified as the suspect who shot and injured multiple patrons and killed one person inside the Pryme Nightclub located at 10333 Technology Boulevard on March 20, 2021. The suspect, pictured above, is wanted for murder and seven counts of aggravated assaults with a deadly weapon. Rogers is described as a 21-year-old Black male, 5’8″ tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Update 3/20/2021 at 12:00 PM:

On March 20, 2021, at approximately 1:30 a.m., the suspect, wearing a hat and jacket with unknown writing on the back, was involved in a verbal argument with another patron in the club. A witness, with a Polo logo on the back of his jacket, attempted to break up the argument. The suspect then produced a firearm and began shooting inside the club.

On Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 1:30 a.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at the Pryme Night Club located at 10333 Technology Boulevard.  A disturbance between two groups broke out inside the nightclub.  The unknown suspect produced a handgun, began shooting into the crowd, and a total of eight individuals were injured.  All were transported to area hospitals, and the victim Daisy Navarrete, a 21-year old Latin female, died from her injuries.  There are currently no suspects identified or apprehended.  The motive and circumstances surrounding the murder are under investigation.

Homicide on Country Creek Drive

Updated March 26, 2021:

On March 25, 2021, Derrick Lane and Brandon Shaw, both 18-year old black males, were arrested for the murder of Edward Cade that occurred at 4700 Country Creek Drive on February 20, 2021. They were taken to Dallas Police Headquarters and interviewed by a detective with the Homicide Unit. They were subsequently transported to Lew Sterrett Jail and charged with capital murder. Their bond eligibility will be determined by a Dallas County Magistrate.

On February 20, 2021, at 2:00 a.m., Dallas officers responded to a shooting call in the 4700 block of Country Creek Drive. Upon arrival, they found the victim, Edward Cade, a 18-year-old Black male, unresponsive in a vehicle with a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire and Rescue responded and pronounced the victim deceased.

Homicide on Old Hickory Trail

Updated Post: February 23, 2021 

On February 22, 2021, a 16-year-old juvenile male was arrested by the Dallas Police for the murder of Kenneth Henderson that occurred on January 27, 2021, at 8600 Old Hickory Trail. He was transported to the Henry Wade Juvenile Justice Center and charged with murder, a felony of the first degree.

On January 27, 2021, at approximately 3:20 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 8600 block of Old Hickory Trail. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, Kenneth Henderson, a 62-year-old Black male, who had suffered a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased on February 18, 2021.

Homicide on W. Elmore Avenue

On Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 12:09 a.m., Dallas police responded to 131 W. Elmore Avenue regarding a shooting call.  The victim, Fredy Bonilla, a 26-year old Latin male, was found lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the groin area. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.  Through the course of the investigation, Homicide detectives determined that suspect Angel Aristeo Badillo, a 29-year old Latin male, was responsible for the murder of the victim.  Suspect Badillo was transported to the Dallas County Jail and charged with murder.  A magistrate will set his bond. 

Homicide Investigation on Municipal Street

Updated Blog Post: January 17, 2021:

Through the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified as Isaac Trevino, a 24-year-old Latin male. Trevino was already in the custody of the Dallas County Sheriff for charges unrelated to this murder. He was interviewed by a detective with the Homicide Unit and confessed to shooting and killing the victim. He has been charged with murder, a felony of the first degree. His bond will be set by a Dallas County Magistrate.

On January 9, 2021, at approximately 9:00 a.m., Dallas officers responded to a call regarding a dead body near a road in the 2900 block of Municipal Street. Dallas Fire and Rescue responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene from homicidal violence. On January 10, 2021, the Dallas County Medical Examiner positively identified the victim as Ricardo Xavier Rangel, a 22-year-old Latin male.
