Help Needed in Homicide Case on Guthrie St.

On Friday, October 12, 2018, at approximately 10:24 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at 211 Guthrie Street. Upon arrival, the victim, Hector Eric Gaona, a 32-year-old Latin male, was found lying next to his vehicle. Witnesses observed a silver or grey vehicle, occupied by an unknown Latin male, stopped in the middle of the street and began shooting at the direction of the victim. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the victim to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

Homicide Investigation at C. F. Hawn Freeway

On October 8, 2018, at 12:30 p.m., Donald Taylor was arrested by Dallas Police at the Town East Mall, located at 2063 Town East Mall in Mesquite, for the murder of Corey Sanders and Jessica Henderson. Donald Taylor was transported to Dallas Police Headquarters, where he declined to speak with investigators. Donald Taylor was taken to Lew Sterrett and has been charged with capital murder, a capital felony.

Through the course of the investigation and the help of the public, detectives were able to determine that Donald Ray Taylor, a Black male 29-years-old is responsible for the deaths of Jessica Henderson and Corey Sanders.   Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Donald Taylor is encouraged to contact 911.

On Monday, September 17, 2018, at approximately 6:02 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at the Food Mart Gas Station located at 9512 C. F. Hawn Freeway.  Upon arrival, officers found three (3) individuals shot in the parking lot.  A Black female was found to be deceased due to homicidal violence,  Corey Sander, a 39-year-old Black male was shot and transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries and a 32-year-old White male was also shot and transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The suspect fled the scene in a gold Honda CRV.

Ernesto Carrillo-Hernandez, the suspect in the murder of Martha Alva has been arrested near the border of Mexico.  There is no additional information to report at this time.

Through the course of the investigation, it has been determined that Ernesto Carrillo-Hernandez, a Latin male 32-years-old, is responsible for the death of Martha Alva.  On September 18, 2018, detectives obtained a murder warrant for Carrillo-Hernandez who remains at-large.   Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts are encouraged to contact their local police department, please reference Dallas police report #205720-2018.

On September 16, 2018, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Dallas Police responded to 2000 Walnut Hill Lane, regarding a dead body. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Martha Alva, a 35-year-old Latin female, deceased due to homicidal violence. The Dallas Police Department Homicide Unit responded to the location, along with the Dallas County Medical Examiner.

Homicide on Highland Hills Drive

Updated September 7, 2018 at 1:40 p.m.:

On September 7, 2018, the Dallas Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for Jeremy Lamont Warren, a 19-year-old Black male, for the murder of Nequacia Jacobs that occurred at 5710 Highland Hills Drive on February 24, 2018. Jeremy Warren was already in the custody of the Dallas County Sheriff for unrelated charges and his bail has been set at $150,000.

Detectives believe they have recovered the suspect vehicle involved in this offense. On February 24, 2018, at approximately 2:15 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at 5710 Highland Hills Drive.  The victim, Nequacia Jacobs, a Black female 18-years-old, was shot and transported to an area hospital where she died from her injuries.  A second juvenile victim was also shot and taken to an area hospital with none life-threatening injuries.  The suspect arrived in the pictured white Dodge Charger with tinted windows and white rear spoiler.  The vehicle is believed to be between a 2005 and 2010 model with stock black wheels.  The suspect is described as a black male wearing a dark color hoodie with a distinct logo on the back and writing on the left sleeve. Westmoreland Homicide Investigation

On September 4, 2018, at approximately 10:09 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting at 7460 S. Westmoreland Road. The victim, Quinten Nelson, a 42 year-old Black male was shot and killed during an altercation in the parking lot of a convenience store. The victim died at the scene. The suspect fled the scene in a white SUV. Murder Investigation on Switzer Ave

Victim, Jamal Mike

On September 5, 2018, at approximately 12:36 a.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at 10820 Switzer Avenue. The victim, Jamal Mike, a Black male 30-years-old, was involved in an altercation with an unidentified Black male suspect. The suspect produced a handgun and shot the victim multiple times. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. Cockrell Hill Homicide Investigation

On August 3, 2018, at approximately 6:37 p.m., Dallas police responded to a call at 4109 S. Homicide Investigation at 700 Bluewood Dr

On August 3, 2018, at approximately 11:12 p.m., Dallas police responded to the 700 block of Bluewood Drive regarding a shooting.  The victims, Deionte Tatum, a24 year-old Black male and DeKylon Jones, a 19 year old Black male were fired upon as they drove on Bluewood in a vehicle.  Both victims were struck by gunfire.  Tatum was transported to area hospital by Dallas Fire and Rescue where he died from his injuries.  Jones was transported to an area hospital by private vehicle.  Jones’ injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.  Anyone with information regarding this offense is encouraged to contact Detective Loeb at 214-671-3702 orjeffrey.loeb@dpd.ci.dallas.tx.us.  Please refer to case #170696-2018

Homicide Investigation at 3001 Kendale Dr

Update Post:

Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to determine that Demarcus Coleman, a 18-year old Black male, is responsible for the death of Xavier McMullen.  On October 31, 2018, detectives obtained a capital murder warrant for Mr. Coleman.  He is currently in jail on unrelated charges and has been charged with capital murder in the death of Mr. McMullen.

On August 4, 2018, at approximately 2:09 a.m., Dallas police responded to 3001 Kendale Drive regarding a shooting call.  The victim, Xavier McMullen, a 25 year-old Black male and a juvenile were fired upon as they were on a stairway of the apartment complex.  Both victims were struck by gunfire by unknown suspect.  McMullen was unresponsive and treated by DFR.  He was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The juvenile was transported to Children’s Medical Center for her injuries.  Anyone with information regarding this offense is encouraged to contact Detective David Grubbs at 214-671-3675 or by email:david.grubbsjr@dpd.ci.dallas.tx.us.  Please refer to case no. 170833-2018.

ARREST MADE: Homicide Investigation: 1000 Hutchins Road

Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified two individuals who were responsible for the death of Duglas Ramirez-Mendez. 

On July 31, 2018, suspects Dequinton Franklin, a 17 year-old Black male and Jontarious Webb-Barrett, a 19 year-old Black male were taken into custody by the Dallas Police Fugitive Unit.  Both suspects were read their Miranda rights and agreed to speak with detectives.  During the course of the interviews, both suspects admitted to their role in this offense.  They have been placed in the Dallas County Jail and charged with capital murder.

On July 28, 2018, at approximately 4:25 p.m., patrol officers responded to a shooting call at 1000 Hutchins Road. Upon arrival, officers observed a 2013 red Ford Mustang that collided with an unattended parked vehicle.  Officers found an unidentified Latin male with gunshot wound inside the red Ford Mustang.  DFR arrived and pronounced the victim deceased.
