DPD’s Pet of the Week – Marquis

DPD’s Pet of the Week is Marquis, #A1069902. Marquis is 1 year old. He is full of energy but playful with all ages. He gets along with adults, children, dogs and even cats. Marquis is an owner surrender. He will be a great fit for any home. He will make a loving and devoted companion. Marquis is hoping to find a family in time for the holidays. All pets will leave the shelter spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and vaccinated.

Officer Rodriguez has been with the department for 4 years and is currently assigned to the Recruiting Unit. Senior Corporal Barnes has been with the department for 9 years and is also assigned to the Recruiting Unit. We would love to see Marquis find his furrever home. DPD’s Pet of the Week – Gretchen

The DPD Pet of the Week is Gretchen, #A1085314. Gretchen is 7 years old. She is really sweet and loves to snuggle. Although she is an older dog, she climbed right into the officers lap right away.  Gretchen also enjoys giving kisses. All animals adopted from DAS are neutered/spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped.

DPD’s Pet of the Week – Lily

DPD’s Pet of the Week is Lily (A1079319). Lily came to the Dallas Animal Services (DAS) as a stray but we discovered during her photo-shoot that she knows the command “sit”. She’s very smart and very focused. She can be a bit shy at first but is very sweet and low-key. Lily is a member of our “gentle dainty” playgroup which means she likes to play with other dogs without being rowdy. Although Lily is heart-worm positive, she will receive free heart-worm treatment from the DAS!  

Lily is pictured with Officer Jeannette Nesom. Officer Nesom is currently assigned to the Northeast Patrol Division. She is a four year veteran of the department.

Officer Nesom says, “Remember Life is better with a four legged friend, so adopt a dog today.”

DPD’s Pet of the Week is Saga, #A982694.  Saga is a brown and tan medium size mix. He has been in the care of Dallas Animal Services since February 25, 2017. Saga is shy and very gentle. He is 1 year old and currently weighs 30.2 lbs.  His adoption fee is waived.

This week’s cat is Grace, #A0985603. Grace is has been in the care of Dallas Animal Services since March 21, 2017. She is a very sweet medium sized cat. She currently weighs 8 lbs.
