Suspects Caught on Camera!

On Sunday, February 21, 2016 at about 4:55 a.m., two (2) hooded/gloved suspects pried the rear door to the Church’s Chicken, located at 4656 Scyene Road.  The two suspects entered location and attempted to pry open the safe.  The suspects were unsuccessful and fled the location.  Major Crimes responded to the location to investigate the scene. This offense is documented on case #042258-2016 and the investigation is on-going.

Oh Snap! Burglar Caught on Camera

The Dallas Police Department is once again calling on its great citizens to help identify a burglary suspect.

On February 10, 2016, between 5:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. a Black male suspect was captured on video after forcing entry into a residence located in the 2700 block of Mayhew Drive. The suspect forced entry through the victims residential window, entered and took property. The suspect was captured inside the residence on surveillance video going through the victims belongings. The suspect was wearing a distinctive shirt with BLVD on the back. It is believed that the same suspect may have previously burglarized the same location. Help Identify Suspects on Robbery Spree


On February 3, 2016, at 2:36 a.m., a black male suspect wearing a white hoodie and black pants entered the Residence Inn by Marriott located at 10333 North Central Expressway. The suspect jumped over the counter and pointed a gun at the employee.  The employee stepped back while the suspect removed cash from the register.  The suspect then walked up to a visitor at the hotel, and while holding the gun to his side, demanded her watch. The suspect fled the hotel with the cash and the watch.

At 2:46 a.m. the same suspect approached the locked front door to the Stay America Hotel located at 12121 Coit Road. The suspect smashed the glass out of the front door, entered the hotel and made his way to the vacant office.  The suspect located a key to the register, opened the register, and stole the cash. An employee who observed this offense on a closed circuit television telephoned 9-1-1. This was reported as a burglary  on case #027050-2016.

North Central patrol officers responded to the call and observed the suspect walk from the Stay America Hotel and enter a silver Chevrolet Impala.  Officers attempted to stop the suspect vehicle but the suspect vehicle fled and officers followed.  The suspect vehicle was disabled by spike strips deployed by Richardson Police Officers and came to a stop at 15500 El Estado in Dallas.

Joshua Douglas Wesson, B/M/01-19-85, jumped from the front passenger seat and fled on foot. He was captured a short distance away by a canine officer.  Erica Nicole Bonner, B/F/11-05-84, stepped from the driver seat and surrendered.

Mr. Wesson and Ms. Bonner were transported to police headquarters where they were interviewed by detectives.  Mr. Wesson admitted to his involvement in the Aggravated Robbery of the Residence Inn and to robbing an individual inside the hotel as he was leaving.  He went on to admit to having committed the burglary of the Stay America Hotel.

Additionally Mr. Wesson admitted to his involvement in 5 Aggravated Robberies that occurred on February 1st and February 2, 2016. These offenses where highlighted in a February 2nd Dallas Police press release.

Mr. Wesson is in the Dallas County Jail charged with multiple Aggravated Robberies, Evading Arrest, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and a Probation Violation. Ms. Bonner is in the Dallas County Jail charged with 2 Aggravated Robberies and Evading Arrest.

On February 1, 2016, unknown suspects robbed the LaQuintaInn at 7815 LBJ Freeway at gunpoint. 

On February 2, 2016, in the span of one hour these suspects may have robbed 6 individuals  and the Ramada Inn at 8102 LBJ Freeway at gunpoint. They were observed fleeing in a dark colored Chevrolet Tahoe.

The Dallas Police Department is investigating 6 separaterobberies of individual victims and two business robberies that Police believe to have been committed by the same suspects captured in this video.  The suspects are described as:

  • Suspect 1:  B/M/ 20-25 years old, 6’ 0” tall, weighing 190 pounds, wearing a white hoodie, and black beanie with a pom pom on top. 
  • Suspect 2: B/M/ 20-25 years old, 6’ 0” tall, weighing 210 pounds, wearing a black hoodie, white shorts, and black beanie
  • Suspect 3: B/M/ 18-22 years old, 5’ 7” tall, weighing 150 pounds, wearing a black hoodie, jeans, and a black beanie 
  • Suspect Vehicle: Dark colored Chevrolet Tahoe

Jewelry Theft Caught On Camera


The Dallas Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance regarding a jewelry thief that was caught on camera.

On November 21, 2015, at about 3:30 pm a Latin male suspect 20-25 years old about 6 feet tall weighing 150 pounds went to a jewelry store inside the Bazaar located at 735 North Westmoreland Road. The suspect asked to look at a gold necklace. The suspect then fled the location without paying, or the owner’s permission.

Package Thief on The Street

The Dallas Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance to help identify a suspect caught on surveillance camera committing a theft offense.

On January 16, 2016, at about 9:57 am, a package was taken from the front porch in the 2300 block of Knight Street. The video shows what appears to be a Black male on the porch leaving with the package, without the owner’s permission.

Burglary Caught on Camera

The Dallas Police Department Property Crimes Division is asking for the public’s assistance to help identify a burglary suspect.

On January 5, 2016, between the hours of 1:00 am and 6:40 am, a Black male suspect committed a burglary in the 100 block of N. Rosemont Avenue. The suspect was captured on surveillance video  inside the location removing property without permission.

Aggravated Robbery Suspects at Large

The Dallas Police Department’s Robbery Unit is investigating four business robberies. The following robberies involve two Black male suspects who broke into businesses in the early morning hours and hid inside until employees arrived.  Once the employees arrived, the suspects took cash and or property at gunpoint. The suspects are two black males wearing dark clothing, dark masks, and gloves.

In two of the offenses, a suspect vehicle was captured on video.  The pictured suspect vehicles are a tan or pewter colored Late 1990’s model Nissan Altima with minor front end damage and a tan-colored Chevrolet Tahoe.

Jewelry Theft

The Southwest Division Property Crimes Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance with a jewelry theft that occurred on January 2, 2016 at 3662 W. Camp Wisdom Road . The below surveillance video shows the suspect prying open the jewelry case while another individual was talking to the salesman. The suspect lifted the glass and took the property without permission. The suspect in the video is describes as a Black male between 25-30 years of age.

Surveillance Videos Capture Suspect in Two Separate Burglaries!

Update: Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information leading to an arrest in this offense. 

On December 17, 2015, at approximately 6:30 a.m., an unknown suspect broke into a residence in the 10300 block of Pondwood and removed a wedding ring and cash.  The homeowner was inside the residence when this offense was committed.  The suspect kicked in the front door setting the alarm off. The homeowner heard the alarm and locked herself into the bathroom and called 911.  The suspect returned five minutes later and reentered the home.  The homeowner  fired one shot at the suspect from inside her locked bathroom.  Surveillance video captured images of the suspect.  This burglary offense is documented on case number 292653-2015.

On December 25, 2015, at approximately 12:30 a.m., an unknown suspect entered through an unlocked sliding glass door at the rear of a house located in the 700 block of Pleasant Woods. The homeowners were also home at the time this offense was committed.  The suspect entered and exited the home multiple times with the homeowner’s property without the homeowners knowledge.  Surveillance video captured images of the suspect.  This offense is documented on case number 300217-2015.

Help Identify This Car Thief

auumvThe Dallas Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a suspect involved in an Unauthorized Use of A Motor Vehicle offense.

On December 7, 2015, a White male entered the pedestrian gate at the Phoenix Midtown apartments located at 5555 East Mockingbird Lane.  Once inside, the suspect found keys that the victim accidentally left  in her apartment door when she was bringing items into her apartment.  The suspect retrieved the keys from the door which had the victims car keys and car alarm fob attached. The suspect went to the parking garage punching the key fob until the victims 2013 Cadillac lit up. The suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and drove away.  The  surveillance video shows the suspect when he was at the pedestrian gate. This offense is documented on case number 283998-2015.
