Suspect Wanted for 7-11 Robbery

On November 30, 2016 at approximately 4:45 a.m., the suspect entered the 7-Eleven located in the 5500 block of E. Grand Avenue and pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money from the register.

The suspect is described as a Black male, 25-30 years of age, 5’10” weighing about 170 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, black sweat pants, and black shoes with blue laces.

Sunshine Food Mart Suspects

UPDTATED November 14, 2016 at 5:10 p.m.

On November 10, 2016, Homicide detectives obtained a warrant for Capital Murder on James Otis Slaughter, a Black male 22-years-old.  Slaughter was identified as a suspect in the murder of Mowaffaq Shararah at 3943 S. Cockrell Hill Rd.  

On November 14, 2016, Slaughter was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshal Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team.  He was transported to the Homicide Unit and read his Miranda warning.  Slaughter was interviewed and placed in jail for capital murder with a $500,000.00 bond.  Below is a link to the probable cause affidavit.

On November 10, 2016, Dallas Homicide detectives obtained a capital murder warrant in connection with the shooting death of Mowaffaq Shararah, that occurred at 3943 S. Cockrell Hill Road, on September 23, 2016.  Through the course of their investigation, detectives received information linking Lonzell Hunter, a Black male, 22-years-old, to the shooting.  This information was also corroborated with other evidence.  Hunter is currently in jail on an unrelated capital murder warrant.  

 


On September 23, 2016, at about 3:15 a.m., two unknown suspects robbed the 7-11 located at 5910 Singleton Boulevard at gunpoint. The suspects entered the store armed with an assault rifle and a handgun. They pointed their weapons at the employee and demanded money from the register. The suspect stole cash, cigarettes and cigars. The suspects fled on foot.

At about 4:30 a.m., the same suspects robbed the Sunshine Food Mart at 3943 South Cockrell Hill Road. The suspects entered the store, pointed their weapons at the employee, and demanded cash from the register. During the offense, one of the suspects shot the employee causing his death. The suspects fled without stealing property.

The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public’s help for any information that may lead to the identity of the suspects in these criminal offenses. If anyone has information they are asked to call Detective P. Trujillano at 214-471-7916.

Suspect Wanted in McDonald’s Robbery

On October 28, 2016 at approximately 2:10P.M., the suspect pulled up to the drive thru window at the McDonalds in the 700 block of W. Jefferson Blvd. The suspect pointed a silver and black semi-automatic handgun at the cashier and demanded money.

The suspect is described as a Latin male, 25-35 year of age, and medium build. The suspect was wearing a black shirt, dark two-tone hat, dark rimmed glasses and a red bandana around his neck. The suspect was driving a black 2016 Nissan Versa displaying TX license plate GJB-8743. This vehicle was taken in a carjacking robbery and has not been recovered.

Suspect Wanted for Robbery of Elderly Woman

On Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 2:50 p.m., a 92-year-old female victim parked her vehicle in the parking lot at 3700 block of Forest Lane and started to walk into the grocery store.  An unknown black male suspect rode his bike into the parking lot and snatched the victim’s purse.  The force from her purse being snatched caused the victim to fall onto the pavement injuring her hip.  The victim was transported to a local hospital for her injuries. This offense is documented on case number 239518-2016.

The suspect is described as a black male, 18-20 years of age, 150 pounds, with a thin build.  At the time of this offense the suspect was wearing a white t-shirt with a Michael Jordan logo on the front, black jeans, and a black backpack.

Do You Recognize These Robbery Suspects?

On September 16, 2016 at about 10:30 p.m., the victim was walking home on the Katy Trail near 3300 Knox Street when she was struck on the back of the head with an unknown object. The victim fell to the ground and the suspects took the victim’s purse. The suspects were caught on video using the victim’s credit card at multiple 7-11 stores about one hour after the offense occurred.  The suspects were driving the pictured vehicle. They are described as two Latin males, about 18 – 22 years old, 5’6” – 5’10” tall, with short black hair. This offense is documented on case number 223801-2016.

On July 28, 2016, at about 1:05 a.m., the 7-11 store at 302 North Marsalis Avenue was robbed by two black male suspects. Suspect one, pictured below, entered the store and made a purchase. When the clerk opened the register to complete the sale, suspect one leaned over the counter and reached in to the cash drawer to steal money. When the clerk attempted to shut the cash drawer suspect one bit her on the forearm and punched her in the face.  Suspect one fled the store with cash and climbed into the passenger side of a white Mitsubishi sports utility vehicle driven by suspect two.

Suspect one is described as a black male, 25-35 years of age, 6’ 1” in height, weighing 250 pounds, wearing a red T-shirt with horizontal tears, black shorts, and red Nike tennis shoes.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white Mitsubishi sports utility vehicle with a sunroof and no front plate.

Same Suspect Commits Two Robberies

On July 26, 2016, at approximately 5:00 A.M., a black male suspect who is approximately 5’11”, 200 LBS, 40-50 years old, entered Raceway #967 located at 8301 E. R L Thornton Freeway and displayed a full sized silver and black semi-automatic handgun at the employees and demanded money and Newport cigarettes. This offense is documented on case number 179159-2016.

On July 27, 2016, at approximately 12:20 A.M., the same suspect entered the the 7-Eleven located at 5501 S. Buckner Boulevard and pointed the gun at employees and again demanded money and Newport cigarettes. The suspect fired the gun inside of the 7-Eleven. After both Aggravated Robberies, the suspect entered a four door silver SUV type vehicle, possibly an early to mid 2000’s Honda CRV (Unknown Plate). Suspects Wanted in Aggravated Robbery Near Lower Greenville

On July 21, 2016, at about 1:15 a.m., three male suspects robbed a female victim at gunpoint as she was walking in the 1800 block of Summit Avenue.  One male suspect approached the victim and initiated a conversation.  As she spoke with the first suspect, two additional male suspects approached and demanded her property at gunpoint. All three suspects fled in a white sport utility vehicle. Shortly after the offense one of the suspects was captured on video using the victim’s credit card at a convenience store. This offense is documented on case number 175019-2016. 

Suspect 1 is described as a Hispanic male, 18-20 years of age, with spiked hair, wearing a white T-shirt.

Suspect 2, captured in the photo below, is described as a Hispanic male, 20-28 years of age, wearing an orange T-shirt.

Suspect 3 is described as a Hispanic male.

On June 5, 2016, at about 7:15 p.m., the Hispanic male suspect captured in this video robbed the Pizza Patron restaurant at 11411 E. Northwest Highway at gunpoint. The suspect entered the business, pulled a handgun from his waistband, and demanded money from the employee. The suspect fled on foot with cash from the register.

Food Mart Robbery

On June 25, 2016, at about 12:05 a.m., the OK food mart at 4343 West Camp Wisdom was robbed at gunpoint.  The Hispanic male suspect walked up to the counter, pointed a handgun at the employee, and demanded money from the register. The employee refused and electronically locked the suspect in the store. The suspect tore the door from its hinges and drove off in a dark blue Saturn.
