DPD Seeking Serial Cigarette Robbery Suspects

The Dallas Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspects responsible for a series of robberies at convenience stores across the city. The robberies have occurred between July 13 – July 25 in the Southwest and Northwest sectors of Dallas. In each robbery, a suspect or suspects either display a gun or otherwise indicate that they have a gun. The suspect or suspects gain compliance from the clerks, go behind the counter and fill up a bag with cartons of cigarettes.

  • On July 13, at approximately 6:30 am, two suspects entered the 7-Eleven at 2052 Fort Worth Avenue. Suspect 2 distracted the clerk while Suspect 1 indicated he had a weapon and pushed the clerk to the side. Suspect 1 then began filling up a trash bag with cartons of cigarettes. The suspects fled the location in two different vehicles.

Suspect 1 is described as a Black male in his late 30’s or early 40’s, approximately 5’10” and weighing 240 lbs. He was seen driving a blue Nissan Pathfinder.

Suspect 2 is described as a Black male in his late 20’s,  approximately 5’11” and weighing 180 lbs. He was seen leaving in a white 4 door Ford Crown Victoria.

  • On July 16, at approximately 5:55 am, a suspect entered the 7-Eleven at 4438 Lemmon Avenue, displayed a handgun and took assorted brands of cigarettes and Copenhagen. A second suspect remained outside of the location and acted as a lookout.

Suspect 1 is described as a Black male, 40 years old, “chubby” and wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt over dark clothing. Suspect 2 is described only as a Black male. No vehicle was seen during this offense.

  • On July 20, at approximately 5:20 pm, a suspect entered the 7-Eleven at 2358 Royal Lane, indicated he had a weapon and filled up a bag with various tobacco products. He was seen fleeing in a 1998 white Cadillac Seville.

Suspect is described as a Black male, 38-40 years old wearing a red shirt, red Under Armour hat and black jeans. The vehicle is described as a 1998 white 4 door Cadillac Seville.

  • On July 25, at approximately 8:40 am, a suspect entered the Chevron at 2440 Walnut Hill Lane , indicated he had a weapon and then filled up a bag with several cartons of cigarettes. The suspect was seen leaving in a blue SUV type vehicle.

The suspect is described as a Black male, 40-45 years old, approximately 5’10” weighing 240 lbs. The vehicle he fled in was described as a blue SUV (possibly a Ford Explorer) with damage to the left rear window covered in plastic.
