The Dallas Police Athletic/Activities League (PAL) and Dallas Parks and Recreation Department are hosting the 2nd Annual Battle in Big D Boxing Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, July 11-12, 2015 at the Janie C. Turner Recreation Center located at 6424 Elam Rd.  Dallas PAL has maintained a boxing program for the last 7 years and several of the 40 boxers in the program are nationally ranked in their division (see details below on these boxers).  Several of the youth participating in Dallas PAL Boxing Club have achieved significant weight loss prior to being allowed in the boxing ring since physical fitness is a “must” in boxing.  The boxing gym is located at the Janie C Turner Recreation Center and has proven to be a great partnership for Dallas PAL and Dallas Parks and Recreation.
