Arrest Made in Murder in 700 block of Elwayne Avenue

 

UPDATE:

Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that Martin Armijo Jr., a Latin male, 33-years-old; Ricky Moreno, a Latin male, 39-years-old; David Rodriguez, a Latin male, 34-years-old and Thomas Johnson, a Black male, 35-years-old either participated in or had knowledge regarding the murder of Jonathan Gutierrez on July 1, 2015 at 755 Elwayne Avenue.  On July 14, 2016, Martin Armijo, Jr. was arrested for capital murder and placed in jail with a $500,000.00 bond.  Ricky Moreno was arrested for capital murder and placed in jail on a $500,000.00 bond.  Thomas Johnson was  arrested for failure to report a felony and placed in jail on a $50,000.00 bond.  A tampering with evidence warrant has been filed on David Rodriguez with a $50,000.00 bond.  Rodriguez is not in custody and currently still at large.

On July 1, 2016, at approximately 8:15 p.m., officers responded to a call at 755 Elwayne Ave.  Upon their arrival, they found and arrested the suspect, Martin Armijo L/M/33.  They also found the victim deceased from homicidal violence, and Avigail Villanueva, another victim, suffering from several injuries.  Arrestee Armijo is currently in the Dallas County Jail for murder and aggravated assault family violence on a $650,000.00 bond. Follow the link below for the probable cause affidavit.
