On July 24, 2016, at approximately 6:50 a.m., Dallas Police Officers responded to an aggravated robbery in progress at 7014 N. Stemmons Frwy. When the Officers arrived, the suspect was no longer at the location.  Witnesses provided a suspect description and officers searched the surrounding areas for the suspect. An Officer observed an individual who matched the suspect description in the 1700 block of Chattanooga Place. The officer confronted the suspect. At some point, the suspect pointed a handgun at the officer and the officer fired at the suspect. The suspect then fled on foot.  There is no evidence to indicate that the subject was struck.  The officer was not injured. This in an ongoing investigation and the suspect is still at large.  The Dallas Police Department is asking that anyone with information regarding this offense to please contact the Special Investigations Unit at (214) 671-3661.
