On May 11, 2017, in the early evening, officers from the Southwest Patrol Division along with Detectives from the Auto Theft Unit were working a special assignment in Oak Cliff. They had been made aware of the robbery bulletin in which four fast food restaurants were targeted, earlier that day. At about 7:45 p.m., officers observed the suspect vehicle, a green Ford SUV, travelling in the 800 block of Cockerill hill. A traffic stop was then initiated on the suspect vehicle.  There were two people in the vehicle and they were brought to Robbery Unit to be interviewed.  A warrant was issued for the driver of the vehicle for one count of Aggravated Robbery.  His bond has been set at $25,000. The second person in the vehicle was released.  The investigation continues and more warrants are expected to be issued. The name of the arrestee we not be released at this time in order to allow time to provide line-ups in our other robbery cases.

On May 10, 2017, at approximately 10:15 pm a Latin male suspect in his twenties drove to the drive through window of the Jack in the Box fast food restaurant located in the 6000 block of W. Davis.  The suspect pointed a black handgun at the cashier and took money from the register.

On May 11, 2017, at approximately 3:30 am two Latin male suspects in their twenties robbed the Burger King fast food restaurant located in the 700 block of W. Illinois Ave. The driver had a beard and the passenger with the gun was wearing a ski mask.

Later in the morning, two other fast food restaurants were robbed. The the Jack in the Box in the 1000 block of S. Westmoreland at approximately 4:47 am was robbed by a young clean shaven Latin male wearing a red shirt with white lettering and a black hoodie.  Approximately an hour and a half later the Burger King fast food restaurant in the 2500 block of W. Davis was robbed by the same described Latin male.

In all 4 offenses the pictured Green Ford SUV with no front license plate was used by the suspects.
