Dallas Police Department 2nd LGBTQ+ Town Hall Meeting

Tonight is our Dallas Police Department’s 2nd LGBTQ+ Town Hall meeting. Last year we hosted our very first LGBTQ+ Town Hall and we found it to be successful and helpful in our overall efforts to engage all communities within the City of Dallas. Our LGBTQ+ Liaison Senior Corporal Roman plans such engagements to further our larger DPD Mission of 21st Century Policing and Community Engagement. Community Engagement is just one of our department’s strategic priorities. Tonight’s LGBTQ+ Town Hall Meeting is being held at Resource Center (5750 Cedar Springs Rd) from 6:30pm – 8:00pm. Speakers include: Chief U. Renee Hall, Dallas County District Attorney John Creuzot, Assistant Chief Angela Shaw, Detective Laura Martin, and LGBTQ+ Liaison Senior Corporal Amber Roman. We’ve asked that attendees register using this Eventbrite link so that we can ensure we have sufficient seating and refreshments. Join us for an evening of conversation regarding our LGBTQ+ community outreach efforts and how we are focusing on training and recruiting to be an even more inclusive department.

Our second LGBTQ+ Town Hall of 2019 will be held in September and we are currently working to secure a location in Southern Dallas. Follow the conversation on Social Media using #DPDTownHall. Follow our LGBTQ+ Liaison on Twitter using @DPDRoman and our Office of Community Affairs using @DPDCA.
