Homicide on Holmes Street

Arrest made in the Homicide at 3000 Holmes

The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office has identified the unknown victim as Narquila Deasha Taylor, a 23-year-old Black female. Through the course of the investigation, Homicide Detectives determined that suspect Kamond Keon Adams, a 31-year old Black male, was responsible for killing the victim.  On Thursday, July 1, 2021, suspect Adams was arrested and transported to the Homicide Unit where detectives interviewed him. The suspect was then transported to the Dallas County Jail where he was charged with murder. A Dallas County magistrate will set his bond amount.

On Sunday, April 18, 2021, at approximately 8:54 a.m., patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the 3000 block of Holmes Street. Upon arrival, officers were informed that the victim had been shot at the location by an unknown suspect who was driving a dark colored SUV. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and transported the victim to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased a short time later. A Non-Fatal Shoot Team Detective responded initially and began an investigation for an aggravated assault. The case has now been reassigned to the Homicide Unit. The investigation is ongoing, and the motive is unknown at this time. The victim’s name will be released once the next of kin has been notified.
