On August 24, 2023, Dallas Police arrested Emmanuel Rivera, 34, in connection with this offense.  Rivera was taken to Dallas County Jail and charged with Murder.

On August 11, 2023, at about 8:40 AM officers responded to a call for service at the rooftop of 238 W. 10th St. The preliminary investigation determined; when officers arrived, they found a man shot. Dallas Fire Rescue responded, and the man died at the location.

The victim’s identity will be determined by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office.

This remains an ongoing investigation that is documented under case number 144579-2023.
