Update: On July 23, 2014 at about 9:40 pm, David Wright B/M 7-28-95 shot and killed, Barry Johnson, Jr. as he exited the Circle Food Mart located at 9600 Scyene Road. The suspect was identified through fingerprints left at the scene of the homicide. The suspect is in custody and is currently being interviewed by detectives. He will be placed in Lew Sterret for murder.

Officers responded to a shooting at 9600 Scyene Road. The victim, Barry Johnson, Jr. B/M 7/30/92 suffered multiple gunshot wounds, causing his death. The victim was walking out of the convenience store and attempting to enter his vehicle when an unknown B/M walked up on him and began firing a handgun at him, striking him multiple times. This is an ongoing investigation and is filed on service #177080-2014. Next of kin notification has been made. There is no further information at this time.
