The Dallas Police Department Homicide Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in gathering any information related to a homicide on Metropolitan Avenue. On October 18, 2017, at approximately 7:35 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 4500 block of Metropolitan Avenue.  Officers discovered the victim, Christopher Rider, a 31-year-old Black male, deceased in the rear parking lot from multiple gunshot wounds.  According to witnesses, a black male suspect was seen fleeing the scene in a silver or gray vehicle.  Anyone with information regarding this offense is encouraged to contact Detective Sayers at 214-671-3647 or scott.sayers@dallascityhall.com  Please refer to case number 238703-2017.
