On Tuesday, December 05, 2017, Police Officer Soo Nam, #10206 was awarded Officer of the Month for the month of December 2017 by the Dallas Community Police Awards Committee. A dinner in his honor was held at Park City Club and the Dallas Police Choir performed for the attendees. 

Officer Nam has been with the Dallas Police Department for seven years.  He has shown exemplary focus and dedication to community engagement.  In a letter to the Meritorious Conduct Board, Manager Joli Robinson wrote, “Officer Nam is well deserving of the Dallas Community Police Officer of the Month Award.  His can-do attitude, professionalism, and heart for service make him an integral part of our ability to fully and successfully engage and build a relationship with the community in which we serve.” 

Nam has been recognized throughout his career with several commendations describing his great attitude, willingness to help, compassion for others and use of teamwork.
