Funeral services will be held for Senior Corporal Earl James “Jamie” Givens III, #5484, on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at the Prestonwood Baptist Church, 6801 W. Park Boulevard, Plano, Texas.  A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Prestonwood Baptist Church.  The burial will be at Washington Cemetery, Washington, OK. Ceremonial Honors will be rendered at the conclusion of the service on Thursday at Prestonwood Baptist Church.

Senior Corporal Earl James “Jamie” Givens III, #5484 was struck by a drunk driver while providing a motorcycle escort for a funeral procession for fellow fallen officer on Saturday July 21, 2018 and died as a result of his injuries.  He was assigned to the Traffic Unit Motorcycle Squad and served with the Dallas Police Department for 32 years.
