On October 15, 2023, at around 10:45 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 2200 block of Harlandale Avenue. The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived they found a 13-year-old male shot inside the home. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and took the teen to a local hospital where he died. 

The investigation determined a 15-year old male inside the home was holding a gun, and accidentally shot the victim. 

The teen has been charged with Criminal Negligent Homicide and was taken to Henry Wade.  

The investigation is ongoing.
