On January 9, 2024, 17-year-old Trevon Darnell Wright was arrested for the homicide in the 700 block of Grambling Drive.
Wright was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Task Force and taken to the Dallas County Jail.
Update:1/8/24
Further investigation identified a suspect, 17-year-old Trevon Darnell Wright. An arrest warrant for Murder has been issued for Wright.

On January 7, 2024, at about 10:40 AM officers responded to a shooting call in the 700 block of Grambling Drive. The preliminary investigation determined the victim, 17-year-old Ikea Imari Hood, was shot by a suspect. The suspect left the location. DFR responded and the victim died at the scene. This remains an ongoing investigation that will be documented under case number 003614-2024.
