Homicide at 4400 S. Marsalis Ave

 

Update: 4/19/2024

On April 18, 2024, Dallas Police arrested Keylan Bowens, 18, in connection with the death of 30-year-old Shaketta Johnson.  Bowens was taken to Dallas County Jail and charged with Murder.

An outstanding arrest warrant still remains active for Denute Bell.

 

Update:4/14/24

Further investigation has identified the two pictured suspects as Denute Bell, 24, and Keylan Bowens, 18. Arrest warrants for Murder have been issued for Bell (pictured with long hair) and Bowens (pictured with a cap).

On April 13, 2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 4400 block of S. Marsalis Avenue. The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived they found 30-year-old Shaketta Johnson, shot in a parking lot.  Dallas Fire Rescue responded and Johnson died.

Further investigation determined Johnson was inside her vehicle when two suspects fired multiple times into the car. The suspects, pictured, then left the scene, one in a blue Mazda sedan, also pictured, and a black Mercedes (not pictured). The cars left southbound on S. Marsalis.
